Building a World of Conservationists
AiNi is a name that encapsulates our ethos and vision: "Ai Ni" (爱你) in Chinese signifies the love for others, "AiNi" (also spelled as "Ayni" or "Ayniy") reflects the Andean principle of reciprocity and mutualism – "today for you, tomorrow for me", and "Ai", a technology that is revolutionizing our world. This philosophy of love and giving is at the core of everything we do and is built into the heart of our AI-powered platform, "AiNi-Ai".
We firmly believe that businesses today have a responsibility to shift their focus from profit to people and the planet. This is why we established AiNi as a public benefit corporation (PBC), with the purpose of creating software that inspires people to donate toward humanity's most urgent causes.
Our ultimate goal is to assist nonprofits, especially environmental and wildlife conservation organizations, in their fundraising efforts. Many of these organizations are underfunded and under-resourced while dealing with catastrophes caused by human activities, such as climate change, which is leading to species extinction. There's no greater cause than supporting their tireless efforts to protect our planet's biodiversity.
As nature enthusiasts, we deeply appreciate the natural world, but the geographical remoteness of wildlife conservation often hinders active participation for people like us. The primary means of contribution is through donations. However, as donors, we have consistently felt that our donation experience was transactional, often involving a quick payment process and a standard thank-you email.
With the rise of AI, we have been contemplating how this technology will transform the world. As we wandered through national parks, listening to the incredible birds, we wondered: if they could speak, what would they say? Would they sing about the incredible work rangers have done to keep them safe, or would they lament the human activities diminishing their habitat?
It eventually dawned on us that AI could revolutionize the donation experience forever. For the first time, animals can have a voice and advocate for the nonprofit wildlife organizations that help save them. Imagine Black Rhinos, Amur Leopards, Mountain Gorillas, and more, directly expressing gratitude to their donors. They can chat about their rescue stories, educate about animal anatomy, and simulate conservation work.
The entire donation experience revolves around the donors' relationship with their adopted animals—a friend, a teacher, and a game wizard all in one—designed to remind donors that THEY are making a lasting impact in the world.
By offering an engaging and interactive symbolic adoption experience powered by AI, we aim to assist organizations in maintaining the engagement of existing donors over the long term and inspiring more individuals to join their cause. Together, we will cultivate a sense of belonging, where donors feel they are integral to a broader movement - working collectively to create a world of conservationists.
Our commitment to environmental and wildlife conservation also stems from our roles as parents. Exploring national parks, visiting tidepools and aquariums, and observing animals in nature have created profound and unforgettable moments in our children's lives. From a young age, our kids have developed a deep love for Mother Nature and the diverse, beautiful world she nurtures for us all.
As they become increasingly immersed in a digital world filled with entertainment and toxicity, we want to create an interactive and educational experience that helps recenter them towards positive learning and growth. By instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment, we hope to inspire a new generation of conservationists.
